Geylang condo NEWS: Geylang Serai lights the light for Hari Raya when the market returns after a 2 year hiatus.
SINGAPORE - Before the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, the streets of Geylang Serai, have a festive flash of light on Friday evening (March 25).
Geylang Condos is suitable for investors because of its peaceful location in District 15 & 14. With the theme "Gotong Royong - Solidarity and Resilience", this year's light-up will run until May 8 and will celebrate the spirit of neighborliness, kindness and mutual help for the community. 1.4km long, the light covers Changi Road, Geylang Road and Sims Avenue.
Finance Minister Lawrence Wong, who spoke at the lighting launch on Friday, recognized how despite the Covid-19 pandemic, communities have kept their communication systems intact.
Addressing the Malay/Muslim community, Mr Wong said: "You had to celebrate Hari Rayas in a more silent way, with a smaller group size.
"This adjustment has not been easy. But throughout this challenging time, one adjustment has not changed. Despite the trials and tribulations, our gotong royong spirit is continuing to grow."
Geylang Condos also is ideal for homebuyers because of where the bedrooms are located. Where most of the room when entering through the main door will reveal the kitchen Mr. Wong also welcomed the return of the famous and iconic Ramadan market in Geylang Serai, which could not be held two years ago due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Also present at the event were Family and Social Development Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of Home Affairs and National Development Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim and Southeast District Mayor Mohd Fahmi Aliman.
Geylang Condos owns a plenty of dinning places, coffee shops, stores... Highlights of the illumination include the two main domes at Sims Avenue and Changi Road. The domes are decorated with symbols associated with Malay and Muslim cultures, such as moon and star robes, oil lamps and floral motifs.
The lights will be on daily from up to 7pm until midnight, with the period running until 2nd May - The night before the Hari Raya Puasa festival - until 6am. On Friday and Saturday, the light will last until 2am.
