The Housing Commission on Tuesday released details of six projects it plans to launch in August - three in Kallang-Whampoa, with one each in Queenstown, Choa Chu Kang and Tengah. Analysts say the Kallang site and another Geylang Condos in Queenstown located about 300 meters from Commonwealth Underground station could be part of a prime public housing (PLH) model, citing their proximity to the stations. ships and nearby BTO projects are included in this plan.

The August launch will add to the approximately 9,900 BTO apartments launched in 2023 – 5,495 on Tuesday and 4,428 in February. New measures that prioritize first-time BTO apartment registrants will come into effect from their launch in August, along with tightened apartment selection rules to reduce the number of people opting out of apartment selection.
